About The Mad Masker

Born and raised in the Central Valley of California, Aubriana Zurilgen (The Mad Masker) had a love of all artforms as a child.  Halloween was the best holiday there could be!  In high school she decided to persue art as a career.  Upon graduation, she moved to southern California to attend Laguna College of Art and Design. There she pursued a degree in Illustration with Animation Emphasis. Her love of art and creative works only grew under the tutelage of Ray Persinger, a renowned sculptor and teacher at the college.

While at the Laguna College of Art and Design, Aubriana decided to take her love of costuming to the next level and after several successful costuming and mask making projects, The Mad Masker was born.  Through various personal, freelance and college projects, Aubriana has honed her skills on a wide variety of media. From character and creature concepts for Mythbinder and Sypher Studios' Labyrinth Ball of Jareth to costume acting for the League of STEAM , she has expanded her portfolio.
